Report templates give you the ability to customize the way your reports look. Using almost any word processor, you can create a template that includes your letterhead, logo, special formatting and fonts, and even an image of your signature. Your word processor must be able to save documents as Microsoft Word Open XML (also known as .docx) files.

A template is nothing more than a regular document that includes a marker which indicates where you want the impairment rating to be injected. The special marker is the word impairmaster surrounded by double curly braces like this: {{impairmaster}}. A sample template is attached to this article.
Once you've created the template document, upload it on the templates page.
- Click on the Report Templates section of the dashboard.
- Click on the words Choose File, then select the file from your computer.
- The name of your template will appear in the Template Name field. Click the Upload button to upload the template into your ImpairMaster profile.
After you upload it, it will show in the list of templates.
If you need to delete the template and upload a new one, you can use the small trash button on the right side to delete the template.
Once your template is uploaded, you'll see it in the Exam Actions dropdown menu. From the list of available templates, click on the one you want to use for your reports. The black dot identifies the active template. You can change it as often as necessary.
