Adding Comments to Impairments

Modified on Sat, 15 Mar at 3:30 PM

In some cases, its necessary for the evaluator to substantiate their rationale for including an impairment. For example, there are a number of conditions that must exist in order to evaluate pain according to chapter 18. In other situations, it may be useful to include relevant details about the patient's condition along with the impairment.

Most impairment forms have a field specifically for additional comments. When provided, those comments will appear alongside the impairment in the final report. In some forms with many input fields, there isn't sufficient space to include the field. However, you can still provide comments from the main report preview page.

To add comments or narrative to an impairment, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the impairment within the report preview.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots to show the context menu for that impairment.
  3. Select "Comments".
